Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Oct 09 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low despite the emergence of two new spot groups. NOAA/SWPC Regions 2774 (S25W08, Axx/alpha) and 2775 (S23E31; Bxo/beta) were magnetically weak and inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected 09-11 Oct based on the stability of Region 2774 and decaying trend of Region 2775.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels 09-11 Oct and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a slow solar wind regime. Total IMF strength was less than 5 nT and the Bz component underwent only weak deviations. Solar wind speed decreased and settled at about 325 km/s. The phi angle varied between sectors, but was predominantly negative.

Forecast: A slow solar wind regime is anticipated to continue 09-11 Oct.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet conditions are expected 09-11 Oct in response to the slow solar wind regime.
