Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Nov 01 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2778 (S22, L=085) rotated around SW limb while Region 2779 (S17W78, Bxo/beta) underwent significant decay this period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low over 01-03 Nov.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 7,330 observed at 31/1500 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 01 Nov and moderate levels on 02-03 Nov. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels this period. Solar wind speeds ranged from about 370-420 km/s. Total field was steady between 3-6 nT while the Bz component was sustained southward at around -5 nT through 31/1415 UTC before turning mostly northward to 4 nT thereafter. Phi began the period in a predominately northward orientation through 31/2130 UTC before turning mostly southward for the remainder of the period.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to become enhanced on 01 Nov due to the anticipated arrival of a CME, and remain slightly enhanced on 02 Nov. Nominal conditions are expected to return on 03 Nov.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels.
Forecast: Active conditions are likely on 01 Nov due to the anticipated arrival of a slow-moving CME. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 02 Nov and generally quiet conditions are expected to prevail on 03 Nov.
