Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2813 (N21W44, Axx/alpha) exhibited decay in its trailer spots and was absent of significant flare activity. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 05-07 Apr.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate levels on 05-07 Apr. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment reflected mostly nominal conditions. At approximately 04/2300 UTC, solar wind density began to increase to 30 particles per cubic centimeter. In conjunction with this increase, total field values increased to 9 nT while Bz dropped to a low of -8 nT. Solar wind speed remained steady with a high value of ~320 km/s. Phi angle was variable throughout the reporting period.
Forecast: Solar wind conditions are expected to transition from nominal to weakly enhanced on 05-07 Apr due to weak, positive-polarity CH HSS influence.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to reached unsettled conditions on 05-07 Apr due to anticipated CH HSS influence.
