Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 May 05 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. There were no sunspots or Earth-directed CMEs.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels for the next three days (05-07 May).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through 07 May. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters showed a continued decrease in +CH HSS influence. Total field ranged from 2 to 4 nT and the Bz component only underwent minor north/south deviations. Wind speed gradually decreased from near 440 km/s to under 400 km/s by periods end. Phi oscillated between positive and negative solar sectors.

Forecast: Background solar wind conditions are forecast for the next three days (05-07 May).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are anticipated through 07 May.
