Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Aug 13 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Slight growth was observed in Region 2855 (N13E40, Bxo/beta). No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 13-15 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels while the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 13-15 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated a solar sector boundary crossing into a positive sector at 13/0609 UTC. Total field increased briefly to 8 nT after 13/0738 UTC while the Bz component varied between +5/-4 nT. Solar wind speed ranged from 351-426 km/s.

Forecast: Weak enhancements in the solar wind are possible on 13-15 Aug due to a possible connection with the northern crown polar coronal hole extension.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: Quiet with isolated unsettled periods are expected on 13-15 Aug due to SSBC and CH HSS effects.
