I have been using DDS (DTV) with the 18 inch dish for over two years. I have
never had any RFI in the system. My shack is within 15 feet from the
controller and the dish is located within 4 feet from the shack (directly
outside). I am surounded by HF and VHF antennas.
I run my equipment from QRP to 100 watts. Soon I will be able to use legal
limit and will find out if I have any problems. I've given every opportunity
for RFI to enter the satelite TV system. Hi hi. Shielding and grounding has
done its job so far. My approach wasn't too scientific, just what I learned
from the manuals and listening to those in the know.
