Morning Ed,

Just missed it!!! Sorry -

Tech came out yesterday replaced CyberSurfer with Motorola Surfboard cable
modem. The noise is at least 95% better if not more. I'll need to do some
additional testing. I now have added two to three bands that I could not
operate on - 160, 80/75 and much less noise on 40.

The tech said they have to return the old modem to Motorola for credit.
Hopefully someone else has a Cybersurfer sitting around.

If you can lay hands on that noisy supply, please send it to me here at ARRL
HQ. I want to test it to see if it meets the FCC limits for conducted
emissions. I have been looking for a conducted emitter that does not meet
the rules, to send to the FCC as a test case.
