Anyone else see the FL story about the pirate station
shut down for interfering with airport comms? (It was
in the Hernando Times here in West Central FL.)
He's lucky in a way -- had his illegal transmissions
caused an accident he could have been liable for
felony criminal charges under State and Federal law,
not to mention civil suits.
It is also notable that the FAA, FCC, and local Lake
Worth police cooperated well to track down the source.
