 Transceiver...?

Were you using any type of filtering when you recorded
the .wav files? DSP? Notch ? Noise Blanker? IF shift/wodth?

DSP Off, notch filter off, noise blanker off, IF shift/width in normal positions, IF filter bandwidth set to 2.4K.

If you did have any of these things cranked in, it could
possibly disguise a key element of the noise.
At this point, to me, it sounds a lot like atmospheric noise,
or possbly a storm and static.
I'm not saying that's what it is, but can you get a bit more specific
as to the RX condx and could you possibly record
during different periods of time. early morn, afternoon evening, etc.
If you want to make those recordings you could just send them straight to me
at my e-mail address.

I'll make some additional recordings and email them to you.

                                                tnx and 73,
                                                Scott
