Doc, Eric, and All,
If you haven't done so in the past few days, go visit the ARRL website.
The League just issued an article that is a must-read. In addition, the
time has come (and maybe a little past time) to contact your elected
representatives over BPL. While you are at it, be sure to follow the links
on the ARRL web site to the filed comments on the BPL NOI and NPRM. Read
what some very prominent companies have said about the terrible potential
that we know BPL has for causing harmful interference. Then read the
filings of the BPL proponents.
I know that all of this has been said before. However, if you haven't
quite gotten around to doing something to protect your interests in Amateur
Radio, your time is getting very short. Yes, the most worthwhile reading
is very technical. Yes, it will be painful for some. I would like to think
that a little mental pain now is worth the effort to keep the bands clear
of this menace.

So now we know what that we did not already?
The President's advisors on technical matters have
persuaded him that this is a good technology for a
good purpose with no significant down side.
