Jon,  Thanks for the constructive answer.  That helps.  Do you remember if
you put the beads on the load side of the triac, the input side or both?
Both is probably the best bet.  Were they windings on a ferrite core, or
simply clamp on (one turn) ferrites?  thanks, Bob
