All electronics generate *some* level of noise if you put a portable radio
close enough to them. For example, my 10 year old CRT television generates
about S1/S2 level noise on my 817 when the 817 is about 2 feet away from the
television. This level of noise doesn't cause any problem with my yagi.
Other televisions may generate S1/S2 at 5 feet away. Will that be a problem?
Who knows? The laundry 100 yards down the street generates S1/S2 noise about
50 feet away. This IS a problem for a yagi. It translates into about S6 or
S7 noise on my yagi 100 yards away from the noise source.
Sure, if an electronic device is as quiet as my current television then I
know there will be no problem on my yagi. If it generates more...then I
don't know. I have to extrapolate and make an educated guess.
