Ummm... how about using mains power instead of
generating the juice yourself??

I'm wondering if I can mount my 706mkII on my treadmill.

Seriously, we have a Nordic Track treadmill, and had it in
the room adjacent to the ham shack in VT. Never heard any
noise. HOWEVER, we put an anti-stat mat under it, after the
sales guy said there was a fair chance of ESD buildup when
used over carpet.
Is the noise characteristic like ESD, or motor brushes?
