Thanks for reading this posting. I am having problems with QRM and Tim K3LR
suggested I might find some help here. This particular QRM seems to be
confined to my neighborhood and has only recently started. It covers the 160
and 80 meter bands and doesn't seem to have any peaks across the band, just a
steady S-9 everywhere. Above 80 meters it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Walking the neighboirhood with a portable and driving around with a mobile rig
doesn't seem to find any hot spots. I am hoping somebody will recognize the
sound of the QRM which will help to isolate the source. I have posted a short
MP3 of the QRM as it is heard here in the shack. Turn up the speakers as the
level of the audio is quite low. I had to record it with the mike several feet
away from the rig speaker. The MP3 is at:

If this noise sounds familiar to any of you I'd sure appreciate hearing about
it. It may help zero in on the source. 73 de "Jerry" W8JV
