I took it apart to look it over and found some really poor workmanship and
noticed provision for components that were not installed.
I knew what that meant so I destroyed it and threw it out.
Funny how the noise went away suddenly....hmff

Interesting about LF EMC, but no info on the new switching supplies.

I have done no serious tests, but so far have not seen any issues with
the new generation mini-switching wall-warts -- and they are really
proliferating around here.
