I have 850 feet of 450 ohm open wire line. If I disconnect the antenna, the noise drops way down, indicating that the line is not picking up much noise on its own. It would be unlikely that a noise source would produce more signal due to line pickup than the amount of signal it induces in my 90 ft vertical. The open wire line runs within 5 feet of one of my houses and 25 feet of another of my houses.
