What you say is of course true -- you can only kill one at a time. That said, you can often times choose your target, by adjusting the phasing. Getting rid of the most offensive noise source will usually allow you to be reasonably operational again -- my goal.

If you use two antennas that are both capable of good tx performance, then you have an additional weapon: switching the two antennas around. You can do this by installing a dpdt switch in the unit and doing a little rewiring.

The main PITA with cancellers is the time you spend getting the adjustments right.

Note that ANY noise canceller can only work on noise arriving from one direction at a time. If you have multiple sources, you can kill only one of them at a time.
