Have had no issues with RFI from CFLs of various brands in use for many
years and LED bulbs (regular and dimmable). One exception: a few hours of
noise from CFL bulb that then died. Really like the newer warm colour
LEDs. They are instant on even as a porch light (-20C) and prices also
getting reasonable - Ikea had 75 wt equivalents on sale the other week at
CFL 60 wt price levels. Has anyone looked at the LED under the counter
lighting strips to see if the power supply is another halogen noise
generator?
As hams I'm surprised that there is still so much resistance (impedance?) to
adopting new technology. Guess that explains all those tube rigs running AM
and the spark signals on the air. HI - please don't start the nanny state
rants again.
