There are several screen shots of, and links to, the various programs
which I use to document my RFI environment.
I just added a movie showing about 12 hours of RF analysis taken this
morning, it is an animation of the data take from Spectrum Labs, as
presented by single frames of Spectrum Labs graphical output, and
represents around 600 frames of data being animated.
I am working with the person generating the RFI, and he has his
equipment turned off at this point, so I have a unique opportunity to
take data in an RFI reduced environment, the first time in years it
seems from the data!
I am taking as much data as possible... The movie is only one way I
used to visualizing that data, and it is enlightening to watch a days
worth of RFI... You start to see things that were not visible in the
traditional way of looking at the data.
What you are seeing is the audio pass-band, along the X axis, the Y axis
is audio strength, and the Z axis shows time. The animation is along
the Z, (time), axis.
The movie animates the data so one gets to view a day, a week, or a
year, depending on how much time you have to take data...
The movie is of 12 hours of data and one can see patterns that were not
visible at all in other ways of visualizing the data.
I am working on a way to do this with a dongle, and actually use signal
strength, not audio for the Y axis.
I have arbitrarily picked 24 hours as a period of time for each data
take. I just grabbed what I had for today to generate that movie, hence
why it is not 24 hours.
