Lionel,

Great solution, but if it is not your treadmill and it is radiating next door
or down the block, you'll need the manufacturer or dealer to step up with the
cooperation of your neighbor.

Those can be difficult challenges.

I resolved my Smoothfitness RFI problem with a combination of a Delta line
filter and a FT240-31 toroid.  These are installed in a 6 x 6 x 4" Carlon box
sitting next to the mill.  I kept the AC line from the filter to the mill
short.  The improvement as best I can tell is better than 4o dB reduction in
noise, and it was BAD.  The RFI is essentially undetectable with the treadmill
in the next room about 15 feet away.

I intend to connect thru the toroid only that has 9 or 10 turns and see how
much the Delta is adding.  The toroid probably should have more turns and it's
a $20 solution whereas the Delta is roughly $45 from Mouser.
