switch mode + 1......and.......if killing the power to your house, and the noise doesn’t go away, don’t assume its NOT in your house.,....my Ariss brand digital phone modem, provided by my local cable company, as a battery backup in it, took my months of trying to track it down, because when I killed the power, it stayed on !!!! (so I assumed it was outside my house)....I never knew it had a battery backup in it.....

That's because the source is NOT a power line. The source is either a
switch mode power supply or the controller for a variable speed motor.
