Hi Mac,

I've bought Tecsun on amazon.  Are you aware that the power plug is 
reverse wired?  Using a wall wart other than theirs is likely to apply 
the wrong polarity to it. That might blow a protection diode (if there 
is one), or it could simply fry the radio.
I agree it's a very nice radio, and also a good tool for chasing RFI.
