I contacted my power company (PSEGLI) to track down what I thought was
power line noise. After a few minutes of searching, the tech tracked the
noise to a neighbors home 500 feet away. It turned out to be an AT&T
Microcell wireless network extender which made a racket on 80 meters.
He told me they've found several of these devices emitting noise on
everything from the AM broadcast band to low-band HF.
