All:I've been testing my portable End Fed half wave at home to see if I could mitigate the noise issue I had with this antenna. In short, I noticed a big improvement in noise reduction after placing chokes at both ends of the feed line. I originally placed mix31 / mix 43 cores on the coax where it feeds the antenna (transformer), but that didn't have nearly as much noise reduction on the lower bands as the chokes at both ends. Thanks for the advice. Tony _______________________________________________ RFI mailing list RFI@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rfi |
