"Vast majority", but not ALL... I still make custom cables one at a
time with the best materials and tooling I can find/afford. N, SMA,
BNC, and even TMP, et al. Granted, since Amphenol purchased Times
Microwave, it appears that Amphenol RF or whoever the parent is is
choking off the market for Times cable stock and for sure connectors.
MANY fewer places to buy genuine Times connectors. And it is HARDER to
find the US manufactured Amphenol parts too. I ahve take to
characterizing every cable I make for myself on my VNA, et al. to make
SURE it performs as I intend it to. I offer this as an option for
client cables.
But, as you point out.... I am in the US and do not work in a commie
factory/dorm at next to zero wages, so yes, my rates are somewhat
higher. <smile>

made in china stamped right on the Amphenol bag.

Many of the RG-400 coax are made in China, there are some US based
companies like Harbour Industries etc that specialize in Teflon
based coaxial cables but they are going to be more expensive then
the asian made cables.

like RG142. KZ1W sent me several miniature coaxes to evaluate for
chokes for TX 4-squares, the most useful of which seems to be
RG179. It's addressed in the Cookbook.
