Yes, that's where the choke goes -- right where the coax connects to the
transformer.
Some people might suggest a counterpoise, others
might suggest a length of coax and let that be part of the antenna.
And I am one of them.
I kind of wanted that length of coax to not be part of the antenna.
I agree. And I am one of those who would add counterpoise or radials.
