Is the "grow" activity legal in your state?  If so, why not contact the operator and offer assistance in cleaning up his lighting?  If not, call the cops (hi)

Hi Tony,

Yes...  Most all the RFI you see is coming from a single location, five years ago it was grow five strings of lights.  I assume it is the same, as I have seen no changes in that time...

There is a small light leak in the window of the suspected homes garage window.  The RFI starts at the exact same instant as a very bright orange light becomes visible in the garage window-- so I am sure the home under suspicion is in fact the source.  That and the fact the loop takes a null as it should when pointed at the place, the AM radio takes a peak as I drive by, and the two meter beam takes a peek when I point it at the garage.  Many indicators, all pointing at the same place.  Yes it is on a timer, the RFI starts and stops in cycles I would expect for a grow operation as well.

By the time yu read this, I will have a second movie of 30 Meters up and active.  It will be below the 40 Meter movie...  I just finished rendering it, so I need to make it a .mp4, then upload and link it.

Have you been able to figure out what's causing that wide-band noise that starts at 06:40 a.m. and ends at around 40 minutes after midnight? I'm referring to the noise that's roughly 70 kHz wide that appears below, in the middle and above the top of the 40 meter band.

Wonder if it appears and ends at the same time each day -- that suggest the device is on a timer.

Hello,

I just finished another 24 hour capture of the RFI at NK7Z... It is located at:

https://www.nk7z.net/rfi-site-survey-part-ii-interpretation/

Move three quarters of the way down the page, and you will see the SDR movie, you can't miss it, there is a giant white play arrow in the middle.  The movie covers a 24 hour stretch of time, and shows the entire 40 meter band plus some slop on both sides, as time moves forward.

There is a full screen option visible on the lower right of the player, if you hit it, a lot more detail is visible...

What is really cool about this is you can see the CW "fog", caused by all the folks in the CW contest...
