I have a next door neighbor’s Enphase system within 50-60 feet of my tower.

There is definite RFI the system . . . but it is only noticeable on the
higher HF bands (15-12-10 and maybe 6 meters).

I’ve got the model numbers of the equipment and frequencies where RFI is
most noticeable. It is interesting how this particular systems starts up
at exactly sunrise and shuts down at exactly sunset. The neighbor says it
is linked to internet data for predicted SR-SS times.

The RFI is at its maximum and broadest on 10 meters just when it’s about to
shut down for the night.

Don, I’d suggest you set an SDR to watch 28.000 to 28.300 from 30 min.
before setset until about 15 min. after that. If you neighbors system is
like mine - You’ll see spikes that are there then disappear as it shuts
down. But look closely with noise floor set to be real sensitive - and you
should see horizontal lines which emanate from the spikes. But it all
should disappear after shut down at sunset.

I have lots more details and Enphase literature.

Not all configurations are the same, of course.

Before this system was installed, I had been in touch with the installation
company’s tech guy - and they seemed amenable to assuring RFI suppression
(ferrites) would be installed. Maybe I was busy or out of town or
something - but some how the installation was completed with the
suppression.

I am able live with my neighbor’s system - for now - because I mostly am
beamed away from the system on those bands.

Getting the ferrite toroids on the system is best done as it is going in.
Afterward - means taking it off the roof - and then reinstalling.
