No! John, believe me, we want your QSO! Since NA multipliers only
count once and not per band, this is a rate contest in which we want to
work as many stations as possible. Multipliers just happen as they may.
NA stations counts the same as a VK station worked - 1 point!

The problem you may have is that only the east coast and occasionally
the mid west USA stations will have their antennas toward you. Basically,
my antennas stay in one position in this contest unless I'm trying to work
a NA mult in the Caribbean. This is basically why stations in W5 land seem
to have an advantage in this contest - we don't have to turn our beams on
the high bands! You should hear me long path on 20M around 2000Z though.

However, I want to add something that is important in this contest for NA
stations. This contest is won or lost on the low bands. In every effort
where I came in 2nd (every year except when I got lucky and won in '99),
I was beaten on the low bands, mainly 80 meters. I've changed the
configuration of my 80M inverted vee because they tore the woods down
behind my house. I don't know if it will help or hurt, but do not neglect 80
or you'll hurt your score.

Starting to excited about this one.

73, Don AA5AU
