I have found over the past several months that I do not have enough time
to devote to "keeping up" and enhancing the RTTYINFO website, and I do
not see this changing in the near future. Is there someone out there in
RTTY-land who would like to become the web-master? There's no cost
other than the need to purchase Microsoft FrontPage software; it is easy
to learn how to use, and there are a lot of ways to make a snazzier site
than the way it exists now. (Not a requirement, but it is would be best
to have a high-speed Internet connection to facilitate site updates.
56kb modems do work, but it take t.i.m.e. . .!)
The domain name was paid for for five years, and the site is hosted free
of charge by a true RTTY gentleman. The only thing that I ask of you is
that you promise all of us RTTY addicts that you will not short-change
the RTTY mode for one of the newer modes. I don't care if you want to
add coverage of new modes; just don't drop RTTY.
Please reply to me privately at w1vxv@adelphia.net. I'll look over the
replies, make a choice, and ask you to publicly declare via this
reflector that you'll continue coverage of RTTY. At that point I will
turn "ownership" of the site over to you.
