Hi Phil: Are you running Windows? If so, what version? Windows
98 or later should take care of the IRQs for you, as long as it
recognizes your com ports ok using Device Manager, and the
software is written correctly (WriteLog is).
I've been running four com ports on '98 since it first came out
and XP for about two months and never had an IRQ conflict, ever,
even with all four in use at the same time. Shows it's possible.
