Well, this was only about my 3rd contest...I'm still amazed that I can
get any contacts with my simple setup: 100 watts an an almost complete
G5RV (the last ten feet hang DOWN over a tree branch, because my lot
isnt big enough). BUT, I certainly felt the limitations of this setup
this weekend, especially on 15m where I had a very high SWR with all the
snow and ice on the antenna. Still had lots of fun, 10m was much better
that I expected. Biggest disappointment: I had 98 DXCC entities going
into the weekend and came out with only 100. Only 2 new ones (9G and
YB--thanks)!
