Hi Guys..

Just a line to say that I agreee with Bill and Mike on this..

I have a 2nd QTH on Crete and although SV9 is not really that 'rare', I
do find that if I operate PSK, I too can get quite a pile-up..
Yes, I have Macro's set up, both long and short, and find that after a
few QSO's, switching to the short, which just gives basic details is
fine as 'most' people acccept this. It gives 'em the new country, QSL
details, and this is what they want. Although I cannot type as fast as
Mike, I can often just give them the report and QSL details..
However, I do find it galling when after doing this for a while, someone
gives me the full details of his rig, XYL's maiden name, how many kids
he has etc. This does not just get my goat, but those waiting to work
me, as they too have to listen to his boasting. These guys really do get
short shrift when I am allowed to get back to them..

Yes, educate them through articles on eHam and to the various PSK
reflectors by all means, and, while we are at it, could we also re-
educate them on setting up their soundcards so that when they do call
they don't spread all up the band?
