this is a mean world... we four were planning for the ANARTS participation
from Jersey Isl. (MJ) as the last two years, after a lot of problems finally
all seemed to fall in place, when...
When I asked Phil, GU0SUP by email how the WX is on the Channel Islands is.
Well, he said the WX is fine, but why we are coming so early - and he is
right. We were planning for the wrong weekend, one week too early. Man, man,
what a major screwup...
After an evening of frantic phone calls it is clear that only one of us can
easily move the schedule (bless the retired), three of us can't or only very
unlikely.
So we have to cancel this years activity. Very sorry, after nearly one year
planning, lot's of work on new antennas etc.
So the world is not really mean, we are just to stupid to understand that
"second full weekend in June" does not mean 7./8. June, but 14./15.
See you next year from Jersey Island in ANARTS contest, and many RTTY contests
until then from home sweet home.
