All of which speaks to the ugliness of a "standard" format like Cabrillo
that has to be customized for every contest.

It is also my recollection that it was stated some time ago that Cabrillo
would be the mandatory form of log submission for the JARTS contest. >From my
viewpoint though, the real issue is that the logging software that many of
us use was not ready to produce the required file. As a result, it has
become necessary to be fairly proficient at creating the CBR file ourselves
using whatever additional tools are available. I'm sure this was not the
intent of the contest sponsors. Although some of us were quite able to
manipulate our data to produce the necessary Cabrillo file I expect that
many do not have either the ability, knowledge or willingness to go to that
extreme. I hope this doesn't detract from a fine contest.

For me, the JARTS contest is one of the best RTTY contests of the year and
it is worth a little bit of aggravation to get my log submitted.

I too praise Maza and Hiro for their fine work before and after the event.
It is much appreciated.
