Sorry, guys, I just didn't have the guts to put Mêlée in my CQ buffer.
Those little accent thingys might get stuck in my coax. :-)
Lots of fun, best score ever, but the opening to Europe from the west
coast was short and not sweet. I suspect this is a preview of the
next few years till Mr. Sun gets his spots back.
Had an unusually large number of dupes, but that's good! Shows there
are new folks getting into RTTY contesting. They'll get it figured
out. (Am I an optimist or what? OF COURSE the glass is half full.)
This was my first contest since the electric company replaced a noisy
transformer in front of my house. I can hear stuff! What a
difference!! Yay!!! Only took 'em three years!!!!
And now, the gory details:
CALL USED: W6WRT
STATE: California
WHERE ZAT: USA
SCORING: 367 QSO points x 72 multipliers
CLAIMED SCORE: 26424 (Actually, I just took AA5AU's score and divided
by the appropriate factor, which varies from contest to contest, but
never goes below 1.00, ever. Lots easier that way.)
POWER: 1500
HOURS OF OPERATION: 15.9999999
Can't hardly wait for the Roundup (sans noise).
