Jeff,

In my MP MARK V, I have a mix of Inrad and Yaesu filters. I asked George,
W2VJN, of Inrad about replacing a Yaesu crystal filter with one of his of
the same bandwidth, and he said any difference would be negligible. If you
have cascaded 250s I think you're set.

Subject: [RTTY] FT1000 IF filters

hi - A couple months ago I upgraded the IF filters for SSB in my FT1000D to
the INRAD 1.8KHz set. They made a HUGE difference in the receiver
performance during phone contests.

I was thinking of doing same with my existing stock filters for 250 and 500
for RTTY.

So, I'd truly appreciate hearing from FT1000D owners/users who have upgraded
to the INRAD filters as to whether it was worth it, and what bandwidths you
chose for RTTY.

thanks! - jeff wk6i
