This is a little addendum to my previous post...
Distance calculation using VQ-Log
===================================
To import the adif into VQlog the gridsquare should appears like this
<GRIDSQUARE:4>EN82
If your contest software exports the "exchange received" in a general format
(ie <EXCHANGE2:4>EN82 ) you can just use wordpad to "search and replace" in
the adif (in this example S&R <EXCHANGE2: by <GRIDSQUARE: )
IN VQ-log: create a new LOG - import the ADIF and run a QSO summary for the
contest QSO's (from "Summaries" menu). Specify you own locator on prompt (if
you want the calculation to be done for the center of your square specify LL as
2 last locator digits)
You will get something like this:
15/02/2004 12:10 ZF2NT EK99 RTTY 2097+-
15/02/2004 12:35 YV5AAX FK6ØOM RTTY 847
15/02/2004 13:51 N2WK FNØ3XE RTTY 3396
15/02/2004 13:52 N3EN FM19 RTTY 3006+-
15/02/2004 13:57 K9DJ EN54WN RTTY 4031
15/02/2004 14:02 W5RW EM35XL RTTY 3716
15/02/2004 14:12 N9QQK EN62 RTTY 3807+-
This is an example done from a few of my LOTW confirmed QSO's for the WPX from
FG/F6IRF. The +- just indicates that this is an approx. value for the center of
the square (once again you can use wordpad S&R to get rid of the +-). Obviously
as the contest report uses the 4 digits locator you will get +- for all Q's.
Last but not least: Easy... but the only problem is that VQ-log is quite big to
download (12MB)
