Wow, last summer it was really a great feeling to find out I'd got
SOABLP USA Winner of the 2003 CQ/RJ WW RTTY WPX. But it was even more
exciting to recently find out I'd also gotton SOABLP North American
Winner of the 2003 CQWW RTTY. Having never won a major contest, this
'double wammy of the two best CQ contests was just 'outa this world'. It
was even more gratifying knowing I'd done it running SO1R! A special
thanks to CQ and especially to Joseph Young W6RLL for sponsoring the
CQWW SOABLP plaque. It's georgous and will be hung in a special place
alongside the CQ/RJ WPX plaque in my shack.
