For those that enjoy 10 meter operation there is a worldwide radiowave 
propagation beacon network that operates on 28128 kc. You can read about the 
network at: http://w2ev.rochesterny.org/PropNET . You will find that 10 meters 
is open much more often then you might think including east west paths in the 
summer, even with falling sunspot numbers.

  the way to 28120 when there is a lot of action.

  28080 to 28090 is usually where the big guns slug it out.

  Even when it is not busy, it is worth tuning above 28100 since (unless 
  the rules have since changed) Techs could not operate RTTY below 28100.
