Just wondering who else in RTTY land plans to dig out a microphone and/or
keyer to play in ARRL 10 Mtr test this weekend.
It will be interesting to see what kind of shape 10 is in. At this point
in the sun spot cycle it is a real crap shoot as to how the band will
play. I spent a couple of hours last PM working with the software and
computer to get it re configured from RTTY to SSB and also to get the
sound card again working as a voice keyer. Finally after a period of
frustration I got it working again. After playing of and on last year as
QRP/SSB, this year I have a hankering to fire up the Alpha and play a
might at the other end of the power scale.
This was always one of my favorite events before I got into RTTY Will it
be a 30 hour plus effort as in days gone by or just when I fell like it?
That I probably will no know until it is over.
