During the recent WPX (as op at LX8M) I noticed a lot of stations, mostly from
eastern and southern EU who started their transmission with three or four
dots. Like
... LX8M de <callsign> <callsign>
... LX8M UR 599 001 001
and so on.
Has there been an article I missed which said that this is the best remedy
against whatever problem or what?
Ok, I know that some TU are slow to sync on a signal, I start all my
transmission with a <space><CR> sequence. But why dots? And why so many?
