Hello to everyone. I left the reflector and bands in August as I prepared to
move to a newly purchased quiet QTH on top of a big hill in Lakeland, FL. I'm
still setting my radio station up but have been back on the digital modes since
mid October.

I've noticed the increase in complaints from CW ops about other modes
infringing upon their sacred gentleman's agreement sub bands during contests
and even during non contest periods. Yet they maul the digital and phone sub
bands during their contests and create intentional interference for digital ops
during non contest periods. But they see no hypocrisy in their thinking and
conduct.

Everytime I operate PSK31, MFSK16 and RTTY below 1810 kc and around 7035 kc for
DX I suffer intentional CW op interference. It's usually a string of dits on
top of my signal or an endless CQ. In my personal opinion derived from
observation CW ops are the most inconsiderate and intransigent group on the
bands and I preface that by saying that I work CW every day. Of course I also
find digital ops to be the most friendly and well mannered.

a nastygram to that fellow a few weeks ago who complained about rtty in 'his'
cw band
about all the cw this weekend reaching up into the psk/rtty portions of 40
and 20 meters.
  hihi

I was in SS and was quite surprised to see stations working at 7080 and not a
single
complaint from rtty type. (tongue in cheek)
I guess we are more 'gentlemanly'. :-)))
