Well, conditions on Saturday am were very poor when I switched on the
radio, so I decided to give the contest a miss for the Saturday as I was
due to be on shift at work at 14:30 anyway. Sunday turned out to be
better but not by much, had the usual chores to do as well as baby
sitting so couldn't operate as much as I would have liked. Surprised to
get contacts on 10mtrs with 40mtrs 'frying bacon' but still managed a
few contacts. A pleasure, at last, to participate in the contest and to
work some 'familiar' callsigns for the first time. Thanks to those that
made it into my log and persevered when a second or third exchange was
asked for. My score summary below;
