The reason for this change is the new FCC regulations which go into effect on
December 15th. Please be aware that this was NOT what ARRL proposed to the FCC
nor was it contained in the original NPRM issued by the FCC. This is the FCC's
decision. Effective December 15th there will be NO digital signals above 3600
kHz as per the new FCC regulations.
I have as yet to find anyone at ARRL who is happy with this decision.
And just to make it VERY clear, I agree with Glenn 150%. This is a STUPID idea!
