I have plans for this weekend but I figured I had the night hours free so I had
planned on working the 160m CW contest. But, when I found out that the TARA
RTTY Melee was going to have 160m I decided that I would operate the 160m CW
contest and the RTTY Melee on 160 meters.
I wonât have the time to sit on a RTTY freq on 160 and call CQ all night, and
most RTTY ops either donât operate 160 or they wonât spend much time on
160m if it is dead. The only solution I can come up with is if we would have a
rally time when we would all check on 160m and make some quick contacts.
I would recommend that we rally on 160m at 0300Z. That way all of the
contiguous U.S. would be covered. For the adventurous we could rally again at
1000Z.
Thoughts, opinions and ideas are welcome on this.
