Excellent advice Dick, but I have one tiny nitpick: "QRZ" should only
be used when someone is actually calling you. At the end of your TU
message you don't know whether anyone is calling you or not, so "CQ"
is more appropriate as well as a tad shorter anyway.

This may sound ridiculous, but every time you shave a character off a
macro, you save 167 milliseconds. If you send your TU macro 1000 times
in a contest, you save almost three minutes, enough to work several
more stations. Such tiny margins can make the difference between first
place and something else.

Just something to keep in mind.
