Have CQ'd for over an hour and only worked two XE's between 0330 and 0440Z.
The others calling are so far below the noise that there is no impact in the
decoders or the printing. Band noise is high tonight and the Beverages are
not improving S/N enough. Only last Tuesday night was I able to work about
a dozen stations in Eastern US and Europe. I'll keep trying during the
night and again tomorrow.
During WPX, the Beverages on 80 provided only slight S/N improvement over
the Inverted-V, but mostly they added directional selectivity.
