Bill,
Thanks for the JARTS QSO's. You always have a solid signal up here in the
Tundra.
The "Penalty Box" I am referring to is how the reflector (any reflector)
collects messages and sends them out periodically, IF the subscriber has opted
for using the Digest Mode. Normally this configuration is not significant in
messaging... most of them are not time critical. It just so happened Ed's
message was held long enough in the Digest Queue that the subject he was
discussing (a deadline) had come and gone by the time I received the message.
Nothing more, nothing less. I choose to receive my email in Digest mode on most
reflectors.

As the administrator for the RTTY reflector, I am puzzled by what you
mean you say Ed's message was put into the email "penalty box". The
only time a message is delayed is if it is sent from an email address
which is not subscribed to the reflector. This often happens when
someone is subscribed at home but sends an email from work. Even in
those cases, I will manually allow the email to go through while
sending a separate email to the poster asking if he wants the new
address subscribed too.
Having to manually process a post from non-subscribed email address
can cause a delay of a day or so and perhaps that is what you mean by
"penalty box".
