Use K2 for the rig.
I run my K3 as a K2, Baud Rate = 19200, Poll checked and Com PTT = YES
and it works fine.
If there is no K2 in 10.48, you can try one of the Kenwood rigs ..... I
think 950
worked with the K2, so it will work with the K3
